Our Story

Marie Blachère, founded in 2004 in Provence, France by entrepreneur Bernard Blachère, is a traditional French Bakery and Café. Named for his daughter Marie, Bernard shares his passion for baking and French bread using the highest quality seasonal ingredients to create tarts, pastries and artisanal breads prepared, kneaded and baked on-site daily throughout the day.  We use only 100% French Flour and French butter from the Normandy countryside in our baked goods.

In 2019, we made our US debut and opened two New York locations in Greenwich Village, Manhattan and Great Neck, Long Island with future expansion plans to Miami, Florida in Fall 2022.

Our counter service market includes: sandwiches, salads, quiches and assorted house-made beverages (coffee, tea, matcha, and lemonades). We encourage our guests to stay a while or grab a bite to go.
